Meet the Team

Eric Yale Lutz - Chairman

Eric Yale Lutz has been an innovative leader in all aspects of the real estate industry for almost six decades. During the first 15 years of his career, Mr. Lutz was a principal in one of Michigan’s largest full-service real estate companies. He subsequently formed his own companies which pioneered in many areas of investment real estate, including the redevelopment of retail, apartments,  hotel, office and industrial properties.

Today, Mr. Lutz is the Chairman of Lutz Real Estate Investments. His firm owns and operates commercial real estate and student housing properties throughout the U.S.  Mr. Lutz has held the professional designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM), was a founding member and vice chairman of BOMA of Michigan and has been a keynote speaker at many national real estate conferences.

Adam M. Lutz - President & CEO

Adam M. Lutz serves as the President & CEO of Lutz Real Estate Investments, as well as the Managing Principal of Q10 | Lutz Financial Services.

Collectively, his retail real estate organization acquires, develops and operates for its own account as well as provides advisory services for third party clients on their debt and equity.

What We Acquire

Lutz Real Estate Investments currently acquires commercial, multi-family, industrial, multi-use, retail and land on a nationwide basis as well as develops ground-up properties in select cities in the U.S.  Lutz manages these properties from its headquarters located in downtown Birmingham, MI as well as regional offices located in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Southern states.

In addition to Lutz Real Estate Investments, Adam is a principal in Q10 | Lutz.

Prior to the foregoing companies, Mr. Lutz spent several years in the commercial real estate finance industry as a Vice President with Deutsche Bank’s conduit and on the origination desk for Nomura Direct.

Professional Bio

Mr. Lutz has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science Degree in Real Estate Investment from New York University.  He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and was a founding board member of the Michigan Chapter of NAIOP.  Mr. Lutz holds a real estate broker’s license with the State of Michigan.

Kayla Goins - Vice President of Asset Management

As the Vice President of Asset Management of Lutz Real Estate Investments, Kayla Goins is responsible for overseeing the management and operations at each of our locations. Her primary focuses are the overall performance of our management companies and their employees at each of our locations.

Mrs. Goins’ various roles include working with management to meet management, financial, and operational goals, create and implement marketing initiatives, and assist in ensuring resident retention through quality customer service.

Mrs. Goins brings over 10 years’ experience in the customer service, hospitality and student housing industries.

Prior to her current position, Mrs. Goins was the Regional Manager for Lutz Real Estate Investments and she directly oversaw our entire student housing portfolio. Prior to joining Lutz Real Estate Investments, Mrs. Goins was a General Manager for American Campus Communities, a student housing management and development company as well as having been a manager for multiple locations within Best Western International.

Andy McLauchlan - Acquisitions Associate

Andy McLauchlan serves as the Acquisitions Associate for Lutz Real Estate Investments playing a pivotal role in driving business growth through innovative acquisition strategies. With a strong focus on building robust relationships with stakeholders, negotiating complex deals, conducting market research, underwriting, and performing due diligence, Andy is dedicated to achieving exceptional results.

Accolades & History

Before joining the Lutz team, Andy gained valuable experience at Agree Reality Corporation, a prominent net lease retail REIT, where he excelled in sourcing acquisitions. Additionally, he served as a Real Estate Consultant at Plante Moran, where his responsibilities included managing client real estate portfolios, conducting due diligence, performing underwriting, and conducting market research across various asset classes.

Professional Bio

Andy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship, from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.

Alexander Wystepek - Analyst

Alex Wystepek is an Analyst for Birmingham-based Q10 | Lutz Financial Services, a privately held mortgage banking firm. Alex assists in the firms’ efforts in sourcing, underwriting, and the financing of office, industrial, retail, and multi-family properties.

Prior to joining Q10 | Lutz Financial Services, Alex caddied at Franklin Hills Country Club in Franklin, Michigan, where he was an Honor Caddy for 5 years while finishing his undergraduate degree. Alex utilized strong communication skills with diverse clientele to provide excellent customer service.

Alex graduated from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Christine Caren - Controller

Christine Caren is the Controller for Q10|Lutz Financial Services and Lutz Real Estate Investments. In her new role, she will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of both corporate entities and related properties.

Christine brings over 30 years of accounting experience to the company. She has spent 10 years in development and property accounting; prior to that, she worked as an accountant for both non-profit and corporate accounting and finance departments.

Professional Bio

Christine earned a Bachelor of Art in Advertising from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College.

Devon Gigliotti - Executive Assistant

Devon Gigliotti is the Executive Assistant and Social Media Coordinator for Q10 | Lutz Financial Services in Birmingham, Michigan. In her role she oversees all administrative functions, including coordinating business correspondence, organizing travel for senior management, and planning company events. She is also responsible for managing the websites and social media outlets for Q10 | Lutz Financial and Lutz Real Estate Investment.

Prior to joining the team, Devon worked as an administrative assistant for a financial firm where she provided advisor and client support. With many years of experience in administrative roles, Devon brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position.
